Are You the Victim of the Weight Loss Dieting Myth?

Which have you tried when dieting:

__ Skipping meals
__ Fad diets
__ Crash dieting
__ Rapid weight loss without exercise and diet changes
__ Fat-burning diet foods

Which, if any, have resulted in lasting effects for you?

It's unfortunate, but nutrition and weight loss often do not go hand in hand. Try combining the terms, ending up with "nutrition weight loss" and you and your body can begin the road to better health and a new slimmer and trimmer you. You will also achieve better, long-lasting healthy results.

Have you ever been on a diet that left you weak and hungry? That one didn't last very long, it's almost a sure bet. Most likely your body was craving not the sweets or the bread or the whatever, but a vital nutrient!

An experiment conducted years ago shows surprising evidence. A group of preschool aged children were given access to a room packed with choices. The obvious, cookies, cakes, candies were abundant. Those children, listening to their bodies needs, headed to the most unlikely choices... some even voluntarily choosing cod liver oil!

Cod liver oil is an excellent source of vitamin A and vitamin D. Other children craved salt. Was it the iodine?

Listening to your body is a surefire way to attain the proper nutrition weight loss. Step out of your own way and really give yourself a chance to listen to yourself. Is it really the twinkie you must have or would the salad satisfy your craving much better?

We live in a society that too often takes the easy route. Pull up to the fast food service window and gulp down high caloric, nutrient-starved goodies and call it a meal. To compound this, often the kids are eating the same way and establishing, at this very early age, the ingrained belief that "quick" is sufficient.

Without a working knowledge of nutrition (a degree isn't necessary just some research on one's part), we will continue to try to take the easy way out. Beginning a regime of a nutrition weight loss approach to life just may be what your body has been craving all again!

Listen to it!
