How Can Positive Affirmations Help You Loose Weight?

Denise was tired of being in her body. She had tried every program known to mankind. If the program worked or not - which meant she didn't lose any weight at all, or lost weight, but when she began to eat normally, she put it all back on and then some! One day a friend gave her a book of positive affirmations. It was the perfect gift! When she read the pages, she was quickly able to see how to use positive affirmations. She realized these could turn her world upside down! She could turn all of the negative thoughts around and make them into positive affirmations for training, support and inspiration! When she was focused on the negative thoughts, she said things like "I am a loser", and how could I let myself get so far out of control?!".

She was at the end of her rope. She hated her body in secret, even though she had a happy face on for the outside world. When she got out of the shower in the morning, she avoided the mirror. She always dressed in loose, comfortable clothes, which covered the weight. She was so comfortable in her own skin. She felt thick and slow. She seemed to crawl. All her clothes felt tight and binding. She refused to go to another size. What could be the road block?

Denise made a list of negative thoughts about herself, and then returned to them to create her own positive affirmations. That seemed so difficult for her because they were the exact opposite of what she was used to saying to herself, however, they were exactly what she wanted to be. How can positive affirmations work to lose weight? Denise brought with her wherever she went, and she them loud and clear at every opportunity. Several things happened when she did. She felt more energy! They worked like magic! Weight has begun to evaporate from her body. She found her way to choose healthy foods, without struggle or resistance. She has even begun to look forward to exercising! What was the world coming to! Some examples of positive statements that Denise said are, " I see myself thin and healthy.", "I love my body.", " I can make healthy food choices.", " I love training.", and " I can lose weight easily and effortlessly."

Denise carried them with her wherever she went, and said them out loud at every opportunity. The more passionate she was as she did so, the more energized she felt!

The weight started to leave her body. She was able to find herself naturally making healthy food choices without any struggle or resistance. And she even started to look forward to exercise! WOW, what a change!

Who would have thought that just simple things in your mind set can change your waste line. It is time for a major change with mind set. From now on it will be a positive mind set that moves you forward in life in everything you do!
