Weight Loss - Basics Of Weight Reduction 101

When it comes to health, minding your body's weight is just as important as what you eat. The more you engage yourself to physical activities and a balance lifestyle, the better your chances of gaining a well sound mind and body.

Weight Loss is one method that is most often employed by health conscious people. It is also one popular strategy to combat obesity and burn down excessive fat. You don't have to be a scientist to understand the principle behind every weight reduction technique. Actually as complicated as it may appear at first, weight reduction can be some up into four different components namely;

Food and Nutrition
Energy Stored
Physical Activities
Metabolism
Food & Nutrition

Food plays the most crucial role among the four components and it's not really a surprise why this factor plays crucial on weight. All living things require food to survive - except there's a tiny mini catch. Food and body weight are directly proportional to each other. Meaning, the more a person eats and consume large serving of food the higher the chances a person gains weight. This is one reason why food is heavily minded in weight reduction.

Energy Storage

Of course, eating is just one thing. The next stage is in storing the food as reserved energy. The food you eat can serve in three different purposes;

1. The body uses it directly as fuel energy
2. It is stored in fat form as stored energy
3. Eliminated from the body as waste

In weight reduction, a person gains additional pound ever time these stored energy in the form of fat are replenish every so often without being used by the body. This is where 'Physical Activities' play a very vital role.

Physical Activities
Getting physical is one of the most effective ways to burn down fat. It's also one of the healthiest ways to keep the body healthy and on top shape. How? Aside from tapping and burning down your stored fat in the body, physical activities done on a regular basis also offer the following health benefits:

It helps combat various chronic disease (e.g, osteoporosis, high blood pressure)
Helps improve better sleep
It can help improve and strengthen the cardiovascular system
It helps burn down fat and control body weight
Physical Activities done routinely can also help improve a person's mood
It can help boost a person's energy level
It can also improve and spark back a person's sex life

Metabolism
Another basic factor that can affect a person's weight is metabolism. Metabolism refers to the body's rate of ability to process nutrients from all the food you eat. It is considered as the least among the four because not everyone has the same metabolism rate in the body. This would also explains why some people are miraculously able to maintain an ideal weight despite eating excessively, while others seem to bloat easily despite their effort to control the amount of food they eat.

While this fact remains true, the most important thing to remember here is that the key to a healthy body and a well sound weight is to always observe the first components in proper balance. Be mindful of these three and you're on your way to a healthy and productive lifestyle.
