Another nasty culprit is processed soy. This is always a shock to most people (especially die hard vegetarians) who have been falsely led to believe that soy is actually good for you. Well if you lived in Asia you would quickly see that most Asians eat soy in small quantities and in the form of old fashioned fermented soy. Not the processed, toxic soy that is used in so many vegetarian type products and weight loss products on the market today.

If you think that today is not the right time to decide on health and wellness issues then you are totally wrong. This decision could mean that you no longer need medication for high blood pressure, cholesterol and possibly diabetes. Are people treating you differently because of your size? You have to think seriously and take action.

There are three main components of health and wellness. They are knowledge, ability to prevent and willingness to implement. If you want to live a happy healthy life full of confidence, then health and wellness issues are important to consider now.

If you are healthy, you can spend quality time with your family and friends. If you are fit and strong you are able to qualify for better opportunities. You can share yourself and your lifestyle with others you love. You can be a mentor if you are healthy and strong.

It is an undeniable fact that health and wellness are the need of the hour. It is a must for you to change the way you look at yourself and to attain a personality that can be termed as fit and healthy.

As an incentive to help employees achieve their health and wellness goals, employers offer on- site fitness facilities, and discounted medical plans. The company lunches and meetings are planned to consider employees that choose a healthy lifestyle choice.

You no longer have to feel pressured to eat at work when the boss orders lunch for everyone. Or if you have a meeting with a client. Instead of giving in to temptation, politely make suggestions for healthy tasty food alternatives. Or when dining out you can order the healthier choices from the menu. Try ordering half portions if offered or split the portion in half,saving the remainder for you to have a meal for tomorrow's lunch as well.

Remember, however, that while refusing bad foods is fine, you should be eating good foods. If not, dangerous eating habits and disorders can develop, which will give you, your friends, and your doctor a real reason to worry. It's ok to say no to temptation, but don't say no to food in general!
