Why Most Weight Loss Programs Fail Miserably

Many strategies on addressing the obesity epidemic stress changes in diet and/or exercise routines. Many millions of dollars are spent on such programs. Yet year after year we learn of similar programs coming on the market. What does this tell us about the effectiveness of such programs?

Well in my view it simply re-inforces my conclusion that these programs simply create a co-dependency between the client and the service provider. That is because once the relationship ends the client sooner or later relapses.

Perhaps some of these clients really want a relationship that is being supplied through their contact with another individual who is "caring" and who will pay them a great deal of attention. For some this may be the only significantly caring relationship they have in their lives. Perhaps this is soothing in some way and indirectly helps to boost the client's self esteem or self worth for short periods.

We all know over time however, either from personal or second hand experience how unsuccessful these strategies are. Why is that?

Well for one good reason. Obesity is an emotional issue and not a physical issue!

Yes, I know that sounds strange if not bizarre to some but my 10 years of experience working with such individuals supports this conclusion.

Obesity can only end when the emotional factors that are driving it are released once and for all. Unfortunately most forms of psychotherapy are unable to accomplish this as many are too well aware.

There is a new tool called the Mind Resonance Process(TM) (MRP) that has been shown to effectively and quickly release the deep emotional scars stored within the mind/body and which are responsible for the emotional pain that drives over eating, "self soothing" behaviors that contribute to obesity.

I have other articles here entitled "Obesity and Emotional Trauma", "Emotional Gravity, Physical Gravity: Same or Different", "Ending The Obesity-Self Esteem Cycle" which discuss MRP and report on its benefits in greater depth.
