The Quickest Way To Lose 5 10lbs In Two Weeks Or Less With Some Sound Nutritional Advice

This just may some of the harshest advice out there in dieting, but if you want to lose a quick 5-10 lbs in two weeks without changing your actual food diet, you may want to consider this strategy. Truthfully, it could be one of the healthiest decisions you ever make for you body. So here it goes.

DO NOT DRINK SOFT DRINKS! And stay off the other drinks that have sugars in them. I know some of you are probably crying right now. If you don't drink these now, BRAVO! If the drink has natural sugars in them, it's okay. Orange juice, apple juice and any kind of fruit juice is fine, but stay away from all of the others in the grocery store that have other stuff in them. If it says concentrate, it's okay, but the label should not have any other kinds of garbage in it (especially corn syrup). This is serious. These drinks are bad calories, full of stuff that makes you crash everyday and add weight! You may not know that you are gaining weight just by drinks, but you are! You should stick to the natural stuff and water (yep, I said it; plain water).

If you are wondering why you feel so bad all the time, just try for a few weeks without these and see what happens. If you are a caffeine addict, we need to talk.

Caffeine addicts should start getting rid of soft drinks with caffeine and then get yourself off of the caffeine free stuff. These drinks are hurting you way more than think. After you develop a dependency on something that is as addictive as caffeine, you might feel even worse after you stop drinking them for a week or more, depending on how dependent you were. You have to stop drinking them all together now if eventually you want to feel better.

If you live in the South, I know how you love that sweet tea, but that has to go also. An occasional glass is not a big deal because tea, after all tea has many healthy benefits, but the sugar is not good. If you can't get off the sweet tea, try decaf tea with honey (of course, put the honey in while the tea is hot and brewing). This is a good alternative.

Let me just say a few things about soft drinks. I once visited a soft drink plant (won't use the name of the brand here) in college. They took us to their raw ingredient room and I could not believe the smell. It smelled just like a chemical plant. I am not trying to scare you because the ingredients are written right on the back of the can. The fact is that there are chemicals in there, one being artificial sweeteners.

If you drink diet anything, do you really think you are saving calories by choosing an artificial sugar substitute? They affect your metabolism and your health. The health issue debate is still on going about these ingredients. Aspartame has been linked to migraine headaches and allergic reactions. I have a family member who is sensitive (intolerant) to aspartame.

The use of artificial sweeteners is mostly accompanied by increased food consumption. Studies have shown those who consume these sweeteners often eat more food than someone who doesn't. Are you trying to lose weight and feel better? You have to get off of this stuff!

These sweeteners are not only found in soft drinks, but, chewing gum, ice cream, tea mixes, and many other products. Read the labels in your food. People are fooled into thinking they are buying a low-cal healthy treat. You are only avoiding 15 calories from a teaspoon of table sugar or honey, when using a sweetener that is 1 to 2 calories. Does this even make sense? .............NOT!

One more thing about caffeine, if you are fatigued all the time, the caffeine could very well be the cause of the problem. Adrenal stress is common in many people who have to deal with many stresses. I had adrenal stress and caffeine will adversely affect your adrenal system. This is a topic we will discuss in the near future. So just get off of the caffeine and go decaf with coffee and tea. AND NO SOFT DRINKS OR SUGARED DRINKS/JUICES!

Some of you may hate me for saying all of this; wondering how you are going to do this, but once you realize how these small things adversely affect your well being and your body, you will begin to see them as the enemy. My mother lost 10 lbs in two weeks by not drinking sweet tea everyday and cutting out diet soft drinks! She said before she felt bad during the evenings after work and had real slumps during the day. My mother is very good about nutritional choices and just her beverage choices were the reason for so much fatigue!

Luckily, the consumer trend is going for healthy these days and I can't see that changing. That means more choices for drinks are on the way. If you live by a Whole Foods or Trader Joes, you are in luck. Even Wal-Mart is carrying organic eggs and chickens these days! More choices are being created so do not fret!

When you start putting these tid-bits of advice together, you will become intuitive about your diet and individual needs. There are some diet rules that apply to everyone and other rules that should be tailored to your own diet through experimentations.
