Slim down without starving

Eating healthy doesn抰 necessarily have to be associated with various mental images of starvation. A healthy diet is just as satisfying and filling as a dinner of three pizza slices, a pound of mashed potatoes and fourteen mini burgers and a diet coke can be (just without the guilt). While cutting down on certain foods is encouraged, you won抰 be punished severely for the occasional cheat.
Things to include in to your diet would be, obviously, fruits and vegetables, more white meat, fish and grains. A few dietary supplements are also permitted; acai berries and other acai berry based products are all the rage nowadays due to the various slimming effects of the fruit. A daily serving of these berries come highly recommended by many weight-loss experts and dieticians. Other berries such as black berries and blue berries are also high in anti-oxidants which will help you get rid of all those nasty free radicals from your system along with the extra inches and kilos.
Taking about five small meals is preferable and more effective in comparison to three big ones which could result in over eating. Make a point not to miss breakfast and to include a few light snacks before lunch and dinner to reduce appetite. Keep your snacks light and limited to fresh fruits, a handful of nuts or a couple of whole meal crackers or granola bars rather than reaching for fatty snack such as cake and chocolate.
Keeping yourself hydrated with plenty of water is also important as it will help speed up the digestion process while keeping your system clean and functioning. Reducing alcohol content and replacing all those beer bottles with a more healthy option such as red wine is also acceptable. But keep in mind not to go overboard.
Those tummy tires will not budge an inch unless you get off the sofa and start working out a little bit. Take up on an outdoor activity such as swimming, cycling or hiking or sign up for a yoga class or an aerobics class. Renewing that gym membership that expired years ago would also be a good idea.
On a final note, make sure that you remain patient for the results to show and remember to stick to this routine even after you have lost your extra pounds and inches to make sure they don抰 return with the risk of heart disease, clogged arteries and high blood pressure.
