We Are Water! We Are Water!

Without Water

One thing that always amuses me when I hear someone complaining that they don't like water, is the fact that two thirds of our body mass is made up of water. Muscles consist of 75%, the brain consists of 90%, bones consist of 22% and blood consists of 85% water. When you break it down like this, it really emphasises the importance of regular consumption, yet, most people fail to consume any. Sure you will absorb water through coffee, tea, fruit and vegetables but this is obviously not going to fulfill the bodies daily H2O requirements, you see the human body requires water to transport oxygen and nutrients to our cells and moisturise the hair in our lungs, as well as, metabolise and process the nutrients and toxins we put into our bodies. Believe it or not, water is also a temperature regulator that controls the heat in our body while at the same time protecting and moisturising our joints. By simply denying the bodies daily consumption you run the serious risks of kidney problems, tiredness, migraines, constipation, muscle cramps and irregular blood pressure. One statistic that staggers me, is that it only takes 20% dehydration to run the risk of death. With that said, all that is required to eradicate these risks, is a simple daily plan to consume 2-3 liters per day. And the best part is it's free from the sky!.
With Water

Believe it or not, water is the single most important catalyst for weight loss. Not only is it an excellent appetite suppressant, it helps flush out the breakdown of fat and toxins within the cells leading to healthier, quicker metabolism and cellular reproduction.

We've all had them, back pains and head aches, yet most people head to the chemist for relief instead of the tap. Did you know that 90% of head aches and back pains are related to dehydration. Unfortunately, over the years I have been able to test and try this theory out and I believe this to be true.

As mentioned before, with 90% of the brain made up of water doesn't it make sense that by fueling it, we are able to think clearer, be more alert and concentrate for longer periods of time.

Now ladies, your going to hate me when I say this but put away the moisturiser, water is the key to replenishing skin tissues, moisturising skin and increasing skin elasticity. Although moisturisers may look good on the surface, what you are actually doing, is suffocating the release of toxins through perspiration.

As far as exercising goes, water helps to not only fuel your muscles, but also regulate body temperature and minimizes the risk of muscle cramps and joint sprains caused through dehydration. It is strongly recommended to consume H2O before during and after exercise.

In summing up, water is imperative to our everyday life and must be consumed on a regular basis to significantly decrease the risk of illness and fatigue. If you are are not consuming enough water, start today, I guarantee you will notice a difference!
