Creating Your Exercise Routine

There are many steps that you must take in order to create an effective exercise routine. You must be committed to exercising at the same time every single day in order for your exercise routine to be effective. Choosing the actual exercises themselves is completely up to you. It’s a lot easier to get yourself motivated to go and workout if your exercises are something you enjoy doing.

The best time of day to exercise is in the morning as soon as you wake up. Reason being is you burn more calories in the morning than any other time of the day. Just like most people, you probably feel really sleepy in the mornings as soon as you wake up, that being said, exercising energizes and gets your day started on the right foot.

Choose an activity that you truly enjoy doing whether it’s swimming, running, biking, lifting weights or even any sport that you enjoyed playing as a child. If you’re doing something that you enjoy doing, you won’t even look at your exercise routine as exercising, and it would be like going outside to play before going to work. Even though you are an adult, you will always be a kid at heart.

After determining your exercise routine, it‘s extremely important that you stick to it. Committing yourself do doing something you enjoy should be the easiest thing to do in the world, but if you look at it as having to go and exercise, it makes it a lot harder. You should look at it as wanting to go and exercise because in the end, you want to lose those extra pounds and only you can do so.

If you see that you’ve lost some weight, and you haven’t slacked off from your exercise routine, it is completely ok for you to reward yourself. How so you ask. Well, remember that nice pair of running shoes you wanted before starting your exercise routine but you weren’t sure if you would be able to stick to it so you didn’t get them. Now that you’ve proved it to yourself, you deserve it. Rewarding yourself for good work will help you motivate yourself to reach your weight loss goal.

At the end of the day, you’re in control. You must be fully committed to the exercise routine as it is one of the key factors that will get you to your weight loss goal. Although it may take a while before you start seeing results, keep pushing yourself because hard work always has a nice reward.
