5 Tips to Lose Weight for the Big Day!

1. First things first get rid of the soda! From now until the wedding learn to replace all your drink with water. Not only is water good for you, but helps rid your body of harmful toxins, and can help curve hunger. My suggestion: get yourself a water bottle you can refill yourself and carry it with you everywhere (work, gym, shopping, etc.) It's recommended that you drink at least 64 oz of water a day, so if you buy a 32 oz refillable water bottle you only have to fill it twice to get your daily amount. Don't like the taste of water? Use lemon or lime slices to add flavor instead of sugar mixes.

2. Limit your serving sizes. Weight gain is in part largely due to the large amounts of calories in huge serving sizes. Start out with small portions then go back a little more if you're still hungry. If you feel you're having issues with serving sizes its recommended that you buy just yourself a smaller size plat. This will limit you to the amount of food that will fit on the plate. Experts also suggest eating four to five small meals a day with equal moderate portions. This will keep you from splurging at two to three large meals a day.

3. Eat your fruits and veggies. If you start replacing fatty foods for healthier choices, eventually you will find yourself eating them without even thinking of missing the old unhealthy stuff. To keep your healthy snacks interesting try exotic fruits, or a fruit mix in your lunch. Make sure to pack enough so you can snack all day, and make sure to pick up a good chopping knife to make prep work for lunch faster and easier.

4. Limit the amount of alcohol you drink. Some of the most commonly ordered mix drinks start at 150 calories, and that's just for one. Just think of how it ads up if you have three or four of them. Cutting back on the amount of alcohol you drink a week can substantially help reduce your calorie intake. If you feel you can't give up alcohol entirely a good tip is to then alternate alcoholic with non alcoholic beverages (watch the soda though, opt for the healthier choice, water).

5. Yes you have to Exercise! Make sure you do something to get yourself moving. Simple things as walking the dog or taking the steps instead of the elevator are good way to start burning extra calories. If you're serious about shedding inches you should do at least 30-45 minutes of exercise three to four days in a week. To help stick to your workout regime set ground rules. Do it the same day and time every week so you can begin to build it into your daily routines. You'll be surprised at what just walking or running 30 minutes a day four times a week can do for you body!
