The Process of Overnight or Fast Weight Loss

Saturated fat in most people’s meals has gone up significantly with the increase in fast food joints and the frequency that folks visit these places. Also eating foods with less fiber and the use of a lot of refined sugar in sodas and other processed foods have all contributed to the fact that there are more people than before who are classified as either overweight or are obese.

Many factors that cause your metabolism to slow down are as genetics, overeating and as people age; this makes it harder to burn the food that one eats.

The rate that a person loses weight goes hand in hand with how it is gained. Fast weight loss is not advisable, since surgery is required to get rid of the loose skin that is created by such a practice.

A person’s weight, health, calorie-intake, age, gender, lifestyle, stress level and routine all have an effect on someone’s capability to lose weight.

Studies have shown that a slightly overweight person actually lives longer than a person who has normal weight. Being overweight may be a bit unfashionable, but it does not necessarily make a person unhealthy.

There is really no good reason to try to apply quick weight loss or find an overnight solution for quick weight loss.

Health experts and nutritionists will say with proper exercise a person can actually help lose a certain number of pounds per week. This can be done by eating healthy, a low calorie diet and following a good exercise plan.

A diet program designed by a dietitian or other health professional should be the first choice for someone just starting a weight loss program. Getting evaluated by a health professional should be done before any program can be made. The need to purchase a lot of diet supplements or buy any expensive exercise equipment should be avoided. A simple exercise plan and a quality healthy eating plan is all someone needs to get a good start on consistent weight loss.

A combination of exercise, cardiovascular and weight training exercises would make up a proper exercise plan. This system will increase the muscle to fat ratio and help burn calories which will increase ones metabolism and lose weight.

All the food groups should be included in a good diet plan.

There are two major categories of these food groups. Carbohydrates are the food that a person consumes to get the necessary vitamins, minerals and fiber. Oats, rice, potatoes and cereals would be good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits and vegetables are an essential part of a proper diet, because they have phytochemicals, enzymes and nutrients that are essential for a healthy diet.

Fat is the second category, and mono and poly saturated food sources are a better choice than animal fats. Because the calorie content is more than double in fat than in other foods, it should be taken in small quantities to lose weight.

Eating healthy and smarter choice in food will still allow a person to lose weight without the actual need to eat less food. Reducing the amount of calories that one puts in his or her body is always the general plan for proper weight loss. However less calories does not necessarily mean less food.

A doctor, nutritionist or health professional should be consulted to monitor ones progress. As you progress in your weight loss program, there will be times that it is essential to modify the diet plan to further lose weight.

Consistency, motivation and persistence are required to stick to your weight loss program to see that it works…… Good Luck and Good Health… Brad L. Ohm
