How to Begin with Diet & Exercise

Do you find yourself lacking enough energy to make it throughout the entire day without saying "I'm tired"?

Or how about waking up everyday and just wishing you can go back to bed?

Your mind isn't as alert as it used to be and you run out of breath running up the stairs...what can be causing this?

It has a lot to do with your diet and exercise!

First, You Need More Energy:

You see, what we put in our body is what our body has to work off of. It is the fuel for our body. It's very important that we put the right food in us to be at our best.

After fixing your diet, you will feel a burst in energy. You will feel alive and ready to go. Your mood will change. You can handle situations that are thrown your way with less stress. You will naturally want to be more active and do things that you didn't feel were fun before.

Things start to look better day by day...not just in life, but in your appearance as well.

So what do you eat exactly to get more energy?

First: Drink water! This is the number 1 rule for you. Get at least 6-8 glasses a day. It will keep you awake throughout the day. Our body is almost entirely water so we need to stay hydrated. Not getting enough water leads to tiredness and headaches too.

Second: Eat a big breakfast! The best breakfast is oatmeal with fat free milk in it, egg whites(take the yolk out), and wheat bread toast. Add some fruits in there too.

Why a big breakfast? You just slept and your body has gone without food for so long. It's time to break the fast and make up for the hours without food.

Third: Eat 5 times a day! Think I'm crazy? Absolutely not. Start with the breakfast and every 2-3 hours, eat a meal. Just don't make it a huge meal. Sandwiches with turkey meat are good, baked potatoes, pasta, tuna, and everything else that's low in fat. Nutrtiondata.com actually provides you with all the information you need to know what's healthy and what's not.

Imagine a camp fire that's burning and you go and throw all the wood in there at once. The fire will get big and die out quick. Instead, what you should do is put wood in there little by little so the fire will keep burning.

Eating 5 times a day is just like putting wood in the fire little by little. It gives you energy throughout the day.

Now That You Have The Energy To Exercise, You Need a Plan

A workout plan is much easier to make than you think. I said easy to make, not easy to stick to...but you can do anything you put your mind to.

You can start by jogging 3 times a week for at least 10-15 minutes. This will really boost your energy through the roof.

Also, you have to lift weights. It will keep your body strong.

Here's the formula for lifting weights

Building long, lean muscle: Do a lot of repetitions of light weights.

Building strength and big muscles: Do a lot of heavy weights but very little repetitions.

That's it. It's really that simple!

So an example plan can look like:

Monday: Lift weights
Tuesday: Run
Wednesday: Lift weights
Thursday: Run
Friday: Lift weights/run (depending on if you want to lose fat, or gain muscle)
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: Rest

Conclusion

So let's review. First you need to work on your diet. If you do this, you will get a lot more energy. When you have more energy, you can then use that energy to start exercising.

You will feel a lot more confident and happy!

That's not all though, there are a lot more reasons to exercise. You can take a look at them all at my website below.
