Reduce your alcohol consumption

Alcohol consumption is considered one of the major contributors of belly fat. As much as watching what you eat is important, watching what you drink is imperative too. Drinking alcohol from time to time may be okay, but when done frequently it's another story all together. If you drink sweet alcohols and bear on a daily basis, then you can forget about losing your belly fat. It is recommended that you drink alcohol 10% of the time. As for the rest of the time, settle for water, green tea and water with squeezed lemon.

Consider strength training

Strength training helps you with three things; helps fat loss, prevents muscle loss and builds muscle mass. Some of the best workouts for strength building include Deadlift and Squat. They allow you to stress the body with heavy weights, working all the body muscles from head to toe. This consequently helps you to get stronger quickly and also helps you to build muscle fast, including your abs muscles. Even though Deadlifts and Squats will not burn your belly fat directly, they will however lower your waist size and strengthen your abs.

Consume less Carbs

Even though you really need Carbs for energy, you shouldn't eat way more Carbs than are needed. The body usually stocks Carbs that it doesn't need as fat, which is often how most people get belly fat. Unless you are a skinny person, it is best that you lower your Carb intake. It is highly advisable that you cut back on breads, potatoes, rice and pasta, and instead eat more veggies and fruits with each meal.
