Vaser Shape Procedure and Frequently Asked Questions Part 2

Vaser Shape is a new, revolutionary treatment for losing weight and body shaping, it is the most popular treatment among Hollywood stars. They fill they need to do several treatments before they step on a red carpet so they could show off their beautiful bodies.

VASER Shape can reduce the appearance of cellulite. It is a non-surgical treatment that gives the patient the appearance of firm, smooth skin. Ultrasound and massage therapy is used in order to smooth and treat fatty tissue that lies underneath the skin抯 surface.

Vaser Shape Procedure
The procedure consists of 4 steps. First, a Vaser Shape specialist opens the lymphatics by gently massaging your neck area, under your arms, bikini area and under your knees. She (as in most medical offices) is using her hands on your neck and knees and using a special hand piece to open the lymphatics on your bikini area and under arms. Then she uses an ultrasound technology to warm your targeted area, for example your abdomen. This feels like a warming massage. Some of the patients even fall asleep. Then (step 3), she concentrates on your critical area that is usually smaller, then the whole abdomen area. She uses different settings on the machine that allow to melt the fat underneath your skin. This still feels as a warming massage and usually patients don't experience any discomfort. The last step is 搒uction?- this is forcing the melted fat to go towards the lymphatics so it will be drained by the body.

Results
Cellulite is reduced in problem areas and a definite improvement is apparent. Vaser Shape helps to redefine your body shape. You will visibly notice that treated areas look firmer and smoother than before the treatment.

Q. Is there a recovery period?
A. No. Your skin might be a little warm and slightly pink in color. This is due to the increased blood circulation in the localized area. There is no need for downtime when you have the Vaser Shape treatment. You may resume your normal activities as soon as you have finished your treatment. The slightly pink color should return to normal a couple of hours after the procedure.

Q. Do I need to do anything special after the procedure?
A. Not at all. The only thing that is asked from you is to drink a lot of water. This helps your body to dispose of melted fat. No any other activities or exercises are required. You don't need to rest or use a garment.

Q. How long do the results of Vaser Shape last?
A. In the US, we cannot make claims about the Vaser Shape long-term results, as this procedure does not give you the same results as the Vaser liposuction does. Plus, it's a relatively new procedure for the USA market. Only a dozen offices through out the USA are now offering this procedure. The FDA has advised us that we cannot make claims because the fat cells are not destroyed, they are only melted and then naturally drained by your body. However, we monitor our patients, we have done phone surveys as well as in person visits with some of our earliest patients and they have maintained their weight.

European patients have had a longer history with Vaser Shape. This treatment has been available in Europe 12 years before its introduction in the USA. European patients have maintained their skin tone and body shape by having 6-8 treatments that are a week apart. Touch up Vaser Shape treatments once or twice a year are the norm.

US patients have shown the same excellent results with Vaser Shape in patient follow-ups months later. However, it should be noted as of this writing there is no more than 2 ?years follow-up experience.

Q. Where this procedure an be done?
A. Vaser Shape can be performed only in doctors' offices. It's a new procedure so it's been offered by a few medical offices only. Vaser Shape in California is been offered by Dr. Hanna at La Nouvelle Medical Spa in Oxnard, by Dr. Ava Shamban in Santa Monica, by Dr. Leif Rogers, Dr. Peter B.. Fodor, and Skin Health Experts in Los Angeles

Q. Who is a good candidate for Vaser Shape
A. A person who has areas that need to be addressed and who is not extremely overweight. You need to remember that it is not a surgical procedure so it is not intended to replace liposuction or tummy tuck. However, if you have areas where you would like to lose some fat, then you can really consider Vaser Shape. For example, if you have problems with your upper legs when they rub each other too much. Or if you are concerned about the area under the bra ?remember those banana rolls? Or baby pooch... Those are perfect candidates for Vaser Shape.
