The Skinny Rules: The Simple, Nonnegotiable Principles for Getting to Thin

If you have been heavy for a while, you have probably tried more than one weight loss regime and maybe have succeeded for a while, but, in the end, you end up right back where you started.

That outcome doesn't have to be true, provided you follow some sound weight loss advice. Some of the best comes from none other than Bob Harper and Greg Critser.

If Bob's names sound familiar the reason is really quite reasonable, he is the host and trainer behind TV's "The Biggest Loser." It's a weight-loss show that brooks no tricks or excuses. You are put on a diet and exercise routine and then you are, if you are a contestant, expected to live up to that regime.

If you don't, it's like another of the many TV reality shows, you're effectively "voted off island," to mix a metaphor (there are no islands that are visible except for the ones that the contestants put themselves on if they fail to live up to the regimes set up for them).

In the game they script, the path is simple - just do the work. Why would you do the work? It might be for yourself; or your kids; or just to make it through another year of healthy life. Overweight is one of the leading causes of heart attack and stroke, says the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and if you aren't willing to play by the rules that Bob and Greg set up for you. Then, you'll just keep going though the boom and bust cycle of different diets. If you fall off this wagon and get on another one, you can be certain that you'll fall off the second wagon and go onto a third.

Here's the good part of this work, you actually have the host and trainer of "The Biggest Loser" right at your fingertips. Bob see his work succeeding all the time, where other work fails because there are loopholes and other holes large enough to drive any excuse through, just so you can avoid the pain of not eating.

In reality it is a very simple program that takes you from step one to 20, but, here's the catch, it's non-negotiable. You can't come along and say, if I do this today, I can do this tomorrow and it will make up for it. You live by the 20-step program created for you or you can contact one of the other weight loss programs because you won't win at this.

Perhaps that's just the problem that many people see there are real rules you have to live with and tips you must use, along with training you must do to ensure that you do this program successfully.

Using the Skinny Rules is just like using a GPS for weight-loss as you not only get the tips you need, you also get the diet you need to eat and you also find the recipes that will get you through the month. It takes the guesswork out of your daily life and puts you on the right track for a healthy life, nothing more or less than any personal trainer will do.

Remember, though, this is something with which you can argue, but why would you? It's as simple as one, two... 20 and you're losing weight. You're also gaining tips on what to keep in the fridge; how much to each and the best meals to eat. This is an investment in your health that is proven to work, so why would you even argue with it?
