Weight Loss The Easiest Way

Most of us when we decide we need to lose some weight immediately think about a 'diet' or cutting back on our food intake in some way. As you may have already found out this approach does not work very well. It gets us started on a cycle of yo-yo weight loss and weight gain and the longer it goes on the harder it becomes to lose the weight.

So, just for now how about you agree to set aside what you think you know about losing weight and getting into better shape. If the things you have been doing are not working for you it is time for a fresh approach. We need to start by taking the emphasis off your body weight on the bathroom scales and put that same focus on to strength/fitness and nutrition improvements.

By taking off the focus from your weight and looking to increase the quality of your nutrition and proper activity it will help 'reboot' your entire mindset into a healthier direction that will not only have you losing fat but will get you stronger and fitter as well.
This way offers a successful long term weight loss solution and here are some of the reasons why:

1) A proper strength training program will rev up your cellular engines. Fuel (calories) is burnt in muscle cells so the more efficient they become the more calories you burn.

2) When you become stronger and fitter you will experience positive hormonal changes that will allow you to burn fat faster. Exercise will lower stress hormones (cortisol) which make you store more fat. Higher levels of 'growth and repair' hormones help change your body composition (muscle/fat ratio) along with more balanced blood sugar and insulin levels which control cravings which cause you to overeat.

3) Being strong and fit grows on you. Unlike restrictive food dieting which few people can live with for long fitness quickly becomes a way of life. It progresses from 'something you do' to 'something you become'. The stronger and fitter you become the more active you want to be and seeking that activity becomes an instinctive habit.

4) Being strong gives you a metabolic advantage. When you have plenty of firm toned muscle tissue you burn more calories both night and day and your body will also be naturally inclined to eliminate excess body fat. You will also be able to eat more food without putting on weight and you can weather setbacks that can pack on the pounds such as holiday binges and social occasions.

Some of the most important changes you will experience as your strength and fitness improves and excess body starts to melt away are the ones you cannot see. The boost in confidence that comes from seeing your weight loss goals get closer. The sense of strength you feel in your muscles along with the increased desire to be more active. These are subtle changes that have a huge impact on the way you look, feel and the way you live your life.
