How to Program Your Mind to Lose Weight Effortlessly

Once you have made a decision to lose weight it is important that you create an image of the way you would like to look clearly inside your mind. By creating an image of how you would like to look means that you are sending a new blueprint to your unconscious mind. This new blueprint will then be what your unconscious mind will then be drawn towards and it will then make the process of losing weight much easier and more natural.

This process is very similar to a technique that Walt Disney used to create Disney Land. A reporter once asked Walt Disney's wife if she felt sad that Walt Disney was not alive to actually see Disney Land being opened. To this she smiled and said that even though he wasn't around he had already seen this day many times inside his mind.

When people achieve something in their life its not down to luck, it's due to the fact that they have already achieved the end result inside their mind. So the exercise below will now help you to create a blueprint of how you would like your life to be.

1. Write down all the reasons why you want to lose weight and list the benefits that this will bring into your life.

Example

I would like to wear clothes which I like rather than clothes that fit me. The benefits that this would bring into my life would be that I would feel more confident and happier.

2. Make a list of everything that you need to change in order for you to bring these benefits into your life. When you do this write down the changes almost as if this is something that you do everyday. Just remember that when you do this that you keep the list positive, you use the present tense and more importantly you make it believable.

Example

I have a healthy relationship with food. I exercise at least two times per week. I stop eating when I feel full. I find it easy to walk straight past the vending machine at work.

3. Just before you go to sleep when you have your eyes closed imagine yourself in those situations that you wrote out during step one.

Example

You could imagine yourself out clothes shopping picking up an outfit that you like. Next you could imagine yourself in the changing rooms trying on this outfit and then looking in the mirror, smiling. Finally you could imagine yourself at a party wearing this outfit, feeling happy and confident.

4. Everyday repeat the changes that you wrote down during step two of this process over and over inside your mind. Just pick one sentence at a time and constantly keep repeating this silently to yourself whenever you get a spare moment.

By doing this exercise you are going to create that new blueprint of the person you would like to be inside your mind. By programming you mind with this new blueprint will mean that you will then begin to act like this person.
