Do You Want To Burn Fat? Seeing is Believing Or Is It?

As with a good part of the things we do in life, we depend a lot on our vision or eyesight as the influential factor in whether or not we trust something. And this is regrettably the case in trying to burn fat also. What鈥檚 the old clich茅? A picture is worth a thousand words, right?

Well, when we lock our eyes onto that photograph of that buff male or buxom bombshell on the cover of the newest fitness or weight loss merchandise, something happens. We get excited.

Unfortunately, this is something that many in the fitness industry are depending on. They know this and utilize it to their vast gain. The process is uncomplicated: put a good looking and in-shape male or girl on a product and it will sell. They don鈥檛 even have to advise you you鈥檒l look like that person - they already know your subconscious will believe it will happen. When you're frantic to burn fat, this is an easy game for the fitness industry to play.

And of course a number of weeks later if it doesn鈥檛, you may well start to lose faith and recognize that it鈥檚 going to be tough to keep up with the unrealistic and exceedingly stern guidelines. You鈥檝e got a life, correct? Positively, you want to burn fat, but you鈥檝e got a job, perhaps a family, and further interests in life. Don鈥檛 get me wrong, I love a good fat burning workout, but I know you don鈥檛 want to consume every waking hour for the rest of your life working out!

All of this happened to me more than a few times over as a youthful man. I wasn鈥檛 pleased with my weight, wanted to burn fat, and was in pursuit of the most efficient way to get trim, beefy, and healthy, but while not spending excessively much time in the gym, or having to follow outrageous diet regimines for long periods of time.

After more than a decade of experimenting on myself, friends, relatives, and perfect strangers, I assembled some of the secrets that I found to work best at burning fat and in the swiftest amount of time, on myself and the others that I worked with. Now, what led me to do this was an incredible amount of disappointment that I know thousands of others are going through right this moment.

What do you call doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? OK, I鈥檒l answer this one鈥nsanity! In some ways, the fitness industry is making you crazy in your search to burn fat and get a slim, strapping, and healthy body. Their promises are too good to be real and often they can鈥檛 characteristically deliver on them. They are over-promising and under-delivering in countless cases.

It鈥檚 a big psychological game that the fitness industry is performing with us, and it dates back to our early days. When we were children, we were all trained in school that we could do anything we desired to do when we grew up. Your parents may have even told you that you can achieve anything you want if you believe in it strongly enough. I know mine did.

While this can give great inspiration in life鈥檚 pursuits, it can also be used against you by others, and without you aware. You are basically a creation of your genetic makeup. Just as Mini-Me from the Austin Powers movies could by no means play in the NBA, a man like Woody Allen could never win a heavyweight bodybuilding competition.

The realism is that these two men can burn fat and get in the best shape of their life, but our genes are to blame for a large amount of what we end up looking like when in that best shape. But this isn鈥檛 what the fitness industry will classically tell you - they want you thinking that anyone can look like a genetic freak of nature鈥f you just stay on their regimines, that is.

Please recognize that I am not saying you are condemned by your genes鈥verybody can make amazing improvements in their physiques with appropriate exercise and nutrition practice. It鈥檚 when we start comparing ourselves to the guys or women in the magazines that we walk into trouble, and get lost in that vicious cycle of hype and sensationalism all too common in fitness and fat burning these days.

As I touched on before, you鈥檝e got a life. You鈥檙e a busy person. We all are. We survive in a fast-paced culture, the information age, where we have so many responsibilities to accomplish and so little time to complete them. I don鈥檛 know about you, but I find myself trying to cram everything I accomplish into those small amount of hours between waking up and going to sleep. It鈥檚 not easy.

Then comes along the fitness gurus informing you that to burn fat and get in great shape you鈥檝e got to workout on a daily basis or close to it. You鈥檝e got to do aerobics or cardiovascular exercise to burn fat, several times a week. You鈥檝e got to weight train a number of other days each week, so that you are actually working out 5-6 days every week, each week. If you want it, you鈥檝e got to do it, they say.

I鈥檓 here to tell you that nothing could be further from the truth! Many of these plans will also inform you that you鈥檝e got to follow some crazy diet to burn fat. This could include cutting all or most of your carbs, ingesting loads of supplements or other magic weight loss potions. On top of that, when their programs don鈥檛 deliver, they鈥檒l inform you that everyone is unique and that you鈥檝e got to realize what works right for you. Wait a minute...weren鈥檛 they just telling you that their program promises the body on the cover?

Unfortunately the fitness industry, in many ways, has become a series of propaganda and sensationalism. Sure, there are some good-hearted trainers and professionals out there, but even some of them are being controlled by the fitness center owners, magazine publishers, and supplement companies. That鈥檚 where the money is! Even if they are trying to aid you, they can become inadvertent victims to the mechanism.

They advertise their products, programs, and diets by using the cream of the crop in the genetic gene pool. Hey, if it worked for that man or gal with the wonderful physique, it will work for me. I fell for it, too, many times, until I did some serious research and experimentation as I touched on before.

Because these values won鈥檛 sell loads of insane exercise gimmicks, gadgets, or fairy-tale potions. Fat Burning Furnace students are schooled in the suitable application of brief, progressive, and intense resistance training, eating a diet packed full of nutrient rich foods, ingesting tons of water, and getting lots of quality sleep and rest.

But our subconscious mind is controlling, and you have to watch out鈥till these days, I can get sucked in to a compelling late night TV ad, even though I know better. So you鈥檝e got to stay on guard.

If individuals would pay more attention to established principles like those I instruct in my students, and expend less time with the latest 鈥渂utt buster鈥?or 鈥渇at stripper鈥?on the market, we鈥檇 all be in good health, thinner, stronger, and happier for it. And we'd also be burning a heck of a lot extra fat in the process.
