Reality television seems to be the springboard to stardom for many people. Lately, the contestants of reality TV shows are able to strike some sort of deal after the cameras are gone, and have their moment in the spotlight. Whether good or bad, reality television has become increasingly popular. With the ratings of the most popular reality shows breaking records season after season, we can be sure that reality TV is here to stay.

No doubt some genres of reality shows are more tolerable than others, but one show that's gotten increasingly popular is The Biggest Loser. Each season on Biggest Loser, there are teams of people that go off to a secluded ranch and participate in a weight loss competition. The brave people that participate on this show have to be weighed each week on a huge scale in front of millions of viewers. It's hard to imagine doing something so frightening. The contestants are not only trying to lose weight, but lose enough to have the highest percentage of body fat lost at the end of the season to claim the $250,000 prize. The great thing about Biggest Loser is the life changing aspect of it. Every week someone is voted off in typical reality TV fashion. But you get to see these people want to stay on board not for the money, but for the continuing weight loss that is changing their lives.

No doubt when someone tries out and is accepted to be a contestant on Biggest Loser, their goals is clear: to lose weight. But a couple of the contestants from Biggest Loser season 2 found much more than weight loss during their experience. Matt Hoover was the winner for season 2 and was officially crowned The Biggest Loser. Suzy (Preston) Hoover was the second runner up on that season. During the show Matt and Suzy found love. Matt proposed to Suzy after the finale of Biggest Loser on the Today Show. The two were married in September of 2006 and have just welcomed their second son. Matt and Suzy have shown the world how being on a reality TV show can truly change your life forever. Both of them continue in their efforts to help others lose weight and reach their fitness goals. Matt and Suzy are taking the lessons they learned from Biggest Loser and giving that knowledge to others. Matt has written a book and works as a personal trainer. He and Suzy operate a web site to help people reach their fitness, health, financial, romantic and spiritual goals.

Whether you like or dislike reality TV, it is definitely serving as a vehicle of opportunity for those that are involved. Those that participate in a show like Biggest Loser can be sure their lives will be forever changed. Matt and Suzy are now healthier than they ever thought they'd be, married and have two children all from their reality TV experience.
