Eat THIS Salad If You Want to Stop Bloating in Its Tracks

Bloating seems to be a common struggle for a variety of people. An embarrassing and uncomfortable feeling, it can be brought on by such a broad amount of things that often times, it can be difficult to pinpoint why it is happening to you, and how you can prevent it. But what if there was something you could eat that would at least alleviate the symptoms of bloating?

Enter the fruit salad! This one in particular is complete with gut-busting ingredients like papaya, which helps improve digestion, bananas, which flush excess water from the body’s system, avocados, which are known to burn belly fat and mixed berries, which are low in sugar and won’t cause you to hold onto extra water weight.

 

The Ingredients:

1/2 cup papaya, cut into chunks
1/2 cup pineapple, cut into chunks
1/2 banana, sliced
1/2 cantaloupe, cut into chunks
1 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
1 avocado
1/2 lemon, juiced

The Preparation:

1. Mix the papaya, pineapple, banana, and cantaloupe in a large bowl.
2. Slice half of the avocado into half-inch cubes, and toss with a teaspoon of lemon juice. Set other half of the avocado and the rest of the lemon juice aside.
3. Top bowl of fruit with the berries and avocado.
4. In small bowl, mash the remaining avocado and lemon juice.
5. Serve one cup of the fruit salad in small bowl, and drizzle with a teaspoon of the avocado-lemon sauce.

MAKES 3 SERVINGS. Per serving: 158 cal, 7 g fat (1 g sat), 25 g carbs, 14 g sugar, 13 mg sodium, 8 g fiber, 3 g protein
