Surgery is a major reason of obesity, and one of the first medical causes of obesity that you are going to want to consider. If you go through for surgery for anything, maybe you have just had leg surgery or breast augmentation, you have to realize that weight gain is a very likely possibility. There are a few different reasons for this, namely that after surgery there is going to be a recovery period that you are going to have to go through, where you will probably not be able to move around a lot.

This is why you should try to avoid having surgery if you can, so that you are not going to have to risk any of this happening to you. Of course if you do have to go through with surgery, then you are going to want to keep an eye out and make sure that you are not gaining any weight. If you are, talk to your doctor and let them know this. They will probably offer an idea that will hopefully keep you from gaining any more weight. Sometimes surgery is a necessity but there are things that you can do to keep yourself from getting overweight.
