Warren’s Weight Loss Story!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
November of 2010.

What made you decide to lose weight?
I had recently joined Gold’s Gym and noticed the gym’s 12-week Challenge poster. I knew it would be a great opportunity for me to get serious about my weight loss and reach my goal.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Diet and an exercise plan.

What was most challenging about losing weight?
Developing a workout routine that would not re-injure my back.

How long did it take you to start to see results?
1 week.

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
12 weeks.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
Three months. Continuing with a diet and an exercise program.

How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I had major back surgery a few years ago and had to continuously take medication to help ease the pain. Now, I no longer have to take pain medication on a daily basis. In fact, I rarely do.

Weight loss tip #1:

Weight loss tip #2:
When it comes to your diet, less is not better. I went from two meals a day to seven.

Weight loss tip #3:
A personal trainer can help you reach your goals a lot sooner. On my own I lost 9 pounds in 10 weeks but with my trainer, I lost 55 pounds in 12 weeks.

Weight loss tip #4:
Drink water and lots of it. I was drinking a gallon and a half a day.

Weight loss tip #5:
I worked my way from 15 minutes a day to an hour, six times a week.

Breakfast:
Oatmeal with an apple.

Lunch:
Chicken breast, sweet potato and spinach.

Dinner:
Chicken breast, brown rice and broccoli.

Snacks or Mini Meals:
Protein shakes and a second breakfast.

Warren’s Weight Loss Workouts!

Weight Training:
I weight train 6 days a week.

Cardiovascular:
I do cardio for one hour, 6 times a week.
