There are lots of weight loss programs out there, but for me, I use Acai for weight loss. I have tried many weight loss programs and have been successful at some but I lucked into discovering that Acai can help me lose weight, so now I’m all about acai for weight loss.

Some people never heard of acai. When people refer to acai, they usually mean the acai berry. The acai berry grows on the acai palm tree and the acai palm trees grow in tropical, rain forest countries. Countries such as Brazil have plenty of acai palm trees and eating acai berry is common there. The acai tree is now a new breed of trees but they are hidden in swampland, away from attention of civilized countries.

Over the past years, there have been lots of research done on the benefits of the acai berry and scientists have been amazed at how healthy the berry is. The acai berry seems to have all the nutrients that a body needs. It has protein similar to an egg, fatty acid, phytonutrients and antioxidants even more than blueberry. The berry also has a low glycemic index which is very healthy. The list of all the healthy substances in the acai berry is lengthy and amazing.

People have only started noticing that acai is great for weight loss because manufacturers of acai products rarely advertise the weight loss benefits of the acai berry. Because the acai is so healthy, its health benefits far exceed its weight loss benefits. However, when people start eating the acai berry or acai juice, they notice that their health has improved and along with it, weight loss. So, acai lovers unofficially claims that using acai for weight loss is very effective.

While people are interested in the acai berry, there are still few research going on to find out the exact science behind the acai berry. Since fresh acai berry is not readily available in the US, few US scientists have devoted themselves to do research on it. A research by the University of Florida showed that the acai berry may be able to cure cancer cells. However, more research is needed to find out for sure the benefits of the berry.

In grocery stores, you can now buy acai berry juices, acai packs, acai ice cream and even acai chocolate bars. There are many products made using the acai berry nowadays. It did not use to be like this. It used to be very hard to find acai products until recently. Before you buy one of these products, you should read about how much of the acai berry is in it. Some products have very little acai berry content but more sugar content that could actually make you gain weight.

So in summation, if you want to lose weight, you should try acai for weight loss for yourself. The acai berry will make you healthy and with health comes balanced weight. That means if you are overweight, you can use the acai for weight loss and if you are too thin, you can also use the acai for weight gain or just to make you healthier in general.
