Though the approach isn’t supported by scientific evidence, many people use this basic rule as a guideline for how much water and other fluids to drink.

Human body has a very sensitive body chemistry structure.  The body needs enough water to work properly. It uses the water to remove toxins and unwanted chemical compounds. Therefore, during a diet, a human body needs to have enough water. There are even diets which are completely based on a strict water drinking schedule. Drinking large amounts of water affect also the sensation of hunger. A person who drinks water regularly feels less hungry.
