In the present environment, child obesity has become a major concern for most parents. In fact, this is a rapidly growing disorder now. - Bad eating habits and poor diet including lots of snacks, fried food, fast food, aerated drinks, etc. is a common cause of obesity in children.

- Lack of exercise is also among common causes of childhood obesity. Today most of the children have no routine of regular exercise so as to stay fit and healthy.

- Today, kids are more interested in playing indoor computer and other technology games instead of outdoor games, such as basket ball, volley ball, badminton, etc. Technology games make them even more lethargic physically, increasing scope of child obesity in them.

- With current hectic study structure, kids are always overburdened with home works, tests, etc. All these pressures enhance lack of sleep. This lack of sleep is among major childhood obesity facts.

Tips to Avoid Obesity

At times, it is tough to ask children not to eat. With following tips in mind, you can avoid growing obesity in your kid.

a) Build Healthy Eating Habits

This is the best way to avoid obesity in children. By building healthy eating habits right from early age, you help your kid to stay physically fit. Offer variety of healthy foods to your child to help him build taste in them. Once they are used to eat nutritious diet, they will love it!

b) Avoid Junk and Fast Foods

There is some magical element in junk and fast foods, which attract almost every kid. Thus, try to avoid offering such foods to your kid. However, you may allow them to eat small diet of such foods occasionally.

c) Include Physical Exercise In Routine Life

Even when your kid is in his primary age of growth, let him get adapted to the habit of routine physical exercise. This way, he will have interest in exercise right from initial stage of life, eventually staying fit and away from childhood obesity.

Along with above helpful tips, you need to be a role model for your child. For this, stay involved in all above healthy habits to help your kid stay away from the dreadful child obesity disorder.
