Question
Hi I just have a few questions in regards what to expect. I am from Ontario Canada I was sent my question package in the mail mid March and attended a info session on March 26. I received a call April 5 to let me know I have an appointment with the surgeon on April 11th, and to check my email for my scheduled app I have a gastric bypass class on May1 see the social worker and nurse on May 14 and the dietitian on June 5th I am still so worried that I will be rejected still. I am just hoping that after June 5th I will have a surgery date any advise??

Answer
I assume that you are going through Humber based on your timeline.   You are quite honestly underestimating your timeline.   "fast" is having surgery within 9 months - that is considered quick!  You will have MULTIPLE appointments with each professional, homework and follow up appointments.  I would doubt that you would have surgery til Fall/ winter.   It's going to be about making changes over time and not the quick fix of surgery.  The process is very important and will help you set up brhaviours and strategies that will help you over time.   Surgery has a lot of challenges to it.  I am 6 years out soon and every day can be a struggle.  Feel free to message me anytime
