Question

I would like to lose LOTS if I could.I weighed 150 when I was 25.
That is unrealistic.
There is a soccer conditioning video I have spyed that gives info on weight traing, flexibilty, etc. for the sport.
Should I keep doing my slow weight loss stuff,or switch to that? Its tough trying to sandwich in a daily 30 minute workout. -----------------------------------------

Arkady
My goal is to join the company soccer team this summer.
I am 48,5'8".
I have been on a reduced calorie diet, and walk on a treadmill for 30 mins five days a week.
This is honestly the most I can do as I am a single Dad with three small kids.
I am losing weight,but slowly.
Instead of this, should I change my program to a sport specific soccer weight training one? I have seen this on the web.
What is more important-carrying less weight,or having trained muscles?

Hey, Barry. Thanks for your question. I am glad that you are on a track to losing weight.

Before I can answer your question, I need to know a few more details?

1. How much do you weigh? How much weigh do you believe you ened to lose?
2. What are you goals when you say "what is more important - carrying less weight of having trained muscles?"  - more important for what?
How much weight did you lose and how long did it take?

Please answer the above questions, and I will follow up.

Answer
Hi, Barry. I still don't know how much you weigh now, but I know one thing - NOTHING IS UNREALISTIC.

The secret to losing weight is CARDIO WORK OUT THAT ELEVATES YOUR HEART RATE FOR 20 MINUTES OR MORE TO 70% OF its capacity. At your height and age, it's about 160 beats per minute.

Nothing is more effective than interval training (running sprints and jogging intermittently -30 seconds each), walking uphill, biking uphill, climging and any other activity which ELEVATES HEART RATE.
There is a common mistake to believe that weight training will cause weight loss. It doesn't. It strengthens the muscles, but it doesn't eliminate the fat that is over the muscles.

Nothing will convince me that you don't have 30 minutes in the morning to run or climb and get a great sweat. Why? Becuase it should be the most important thing in our life!!!! Nothing is more important right now than how you feel and how you feel about yourself every moment of your life. You must do it for yourself.

Also, tell me about your diet - how and when do you eat during the day, and how much do you weigh now?

Also, check out the "weight loss" section on my site to learn about my best selling audio program "Powerful Weight Loss." It has changed the lives of over 150 people around the world, and I would be excited if you considered to be next one.

Looking forward to having you follow up.
