I wish I can have a special diet

Question
QUESTION: I am a female 19 years old, my weight is 48 kg today, my tall is around 158 cm but I am not skinny or thin as these numbers show.
My problem is that I don't feel that I am healthy because of the traditional food we eat (includes rise and meet) and because I am studying so I eat lot of food even if I am not starving. I used to do excesses as jogging to keep my weight around 45 kg but now I ruined that because of less time to do jogging and because the walking machine is taken from me. What confuses me is that my parents worry about me when they see me not eating with them and eating fruits and salads only, they believe that I am wearing glasses and becoming tired very fast because of my 'not matured' way of thinking, so I try to make them happy, but without a balance with my happiness. By the way I made a blood test and found that I am perfect. Can you give me an advise to return my weight and fit body as before?

ANSWER: Sara,
Can you give me a breakdown of what and when you eat on a typical day?  This will help me help you.
Thanks,
Lea

QUESTION: In weekdays:
Milk, cheese or honey sandwich at 6 am.
I drink coffee at 9 PM
carrot juice at 12 PM while I am in college.
spinach pie at around 2 or 4 PM depends on my lectures.
When I am I eat what my mother cooks: I don't eat rise I just eat chicken, pies or pizza( I don't mind about small amount of meat)if she cooks then otherwise I try to eat bread with cheese but it is big amount because I am hungry at this time of the day.
I eat fruits in meanwhile: 2 oranges, 1 apple, 1-2 bananas.
I don't drink yoghurt although I wish to because is makes me sleepy while I want to be active to study.
The biggest problem is that I don't drink much water because I forget that.
In weekends lunch is at 1 PM and I feel more free to eat more specially on TV.

ANSWER: Sara,
The weight you are at is at the low end of a healthy bmi, but still healthy.  I think it is important to focus on healthy foods and how you feel as opposed to the weight you see on the scale.  Coffee is not very good for us, especially for your young age, water should be 2-3 liters a day so that is vital to improve.  If you notice your urine is bright yellow most of the time, that is a sign that your body is suffering from lack of water.  What you eat sounds pretty good to be honest, maybe a better breakfast with whole grains and egg or peanut butter (not sure if you have that) instead of cheese or honey.  More activity would help your body image, push ups and sit ups too would be good.
Good luck, feel free to ask a follow up,
Lea

QUESTION: Thank you for the precious advises. Isn't peanut butter greasy enough to make me fat?(I don't like butter in general although it is the healthiest source of fat. isn't it).Nevertheless, I eat nuts around 3 pieces of walnut a day in average.  Also I want to ask you about the best timing for drinking water because as I know we can't drink and eat at close periods as it is not healthy to drink juice or water while eating. What do you think the reason of the weakness in my eyes while the blood test showed that I don't have a problem and by the way there are less than few people among my relatives who wear glasses and they  all were students as me and they became engineers and doctors so no genetic-related problems in that.

Answer
Hi,
Butter is not a healthy source of fat, but 1-2 tbsp on peanut butter is okay for breakfast as it has protein.  3 pieces of walnut a day is good, those are good fats.  Water is best spread out, it is okay to drink it when you eat, but try to avoid cold water (room temperature is best).
sorry, I am not sure about your eye weakness.
Good luck,
Lea
