QuestionIn a previous post you had mentioned that you found farms in the USA that would sell adrenal glands cheap. Could you please say which farms? Also, would it be possible to say how I might be able to get a farm to include these? I've tried discussing this with various farms and they have no idea what I'm talking about. I'd appreciate your feedback.
AnswerAs I live in the UK, the only US online grassfed meat farms I know of which sell raw(well, frozen)glands like adrenal glands are NorthStar Bison, Slanker's, and (possibly) US Wellness Meats. I'm pretty sure the first two farms advertise that they provide all raw organ-meats from "rocky mountain oysters" to spleen etc. The only organ they won't sell is raw cows' brain, for legal reasons.
The problem with buying really obscure raw organs like raw adrenals is that they're too small for the farmer to want to bother with. Plus, since raw organs are much cheaper than muscle-meats, and much less in demand, there's less incentive for farmers to bother selling them. Here in the UK, I've been forced to give up on the notion of buying raw adrenals via grassfed meat farms as, after phoning 100s of such farms, few if any of them even have a clue what the adrenals are, and those that do, have no interest in selling them. So, I buy my adrenals in (freeze-dried) supplement form from Dr Ron's website:-
