Hello, I am 21 and on a low carb diet.  I dont drink very often maybe like once every 2 weeks on average, but when I do, I am wondering what the most diet friendly alcoholic drinks are?  Especially low carb drinks, but also low calorie...If you know what the best would be let me know! What would you recommend? thanks!!!

In average dry table wine, carbohydrates constitute 13 percent of the 87 calories in 1 wine glass (13.5 fl-oz) However, there are variations, for example, specific brands are different:

- The red wine Merlot contains 12 percent of calories as carbohydrates
- Claret is sweeter: 14 percent of calories or 47 grams of carbs
- Burgundy is sweeter yet: 17 percent

On the other hand, vodka contains zero carbohydrates but 64 calories in 1-oz shot.
