Ready for a Change

Question
Hi there!  I have finally woken from my fantasies and realized that my weight is killing me.  I am obese.  I am currently weighing 320lbs.  At least, that is what I weighed the last time I checked.  I have let it get completely out of control.  I am ready for a change.  But, I don't know where to begin.  I don't want to do any fancy diets or crazy surgeries.  I want to do it with diet and exercise.

I really want to do this by just watching my food intake and exercising as much as I can. My question is what kind of suggestions would you have as to eating.  Is there a fairly simple-to-follow diet that you recommend?  I know this might not be your area of expertise, but would you have a suggestion as to a good workout plan that is good for a beginnner?  I am a complete newbie at all this, obviously.  Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Answer
Hi Gretchen,

Welcome to the Light. It is what you have been eating that is empty and leaving you hungry. Focus on the quality of what you eat and the quantity will take care of itself. Fresh produce, whole grains.

You do not need a noisy, smelly gym, you just need to move. 5 minutes here, 10 there, rack up a least 30 minutes a day. Dance around, climb stairs, find something fun.

You are absolutely right to think of a life program, not a diet to go off of.
