food for energy, lean mass

Question
Hi,

I'm starting up a rigorous exercise regiment (weight training, some cardio) and I was wondering what would be a good diet schedule to enhance my energy level as well as build lean muscle mass.  For example, yogurt and bananas for breakfast . . . what else would be good for me?

Just some quick background info, in case this may be relevant: 26 year-old male, 5'9'', 150 lbs, no smoking, occassional drinking.

Thanks,
Luong

Answer
Dear Luong,

It's hard to give a simple answer to a question like yours. I   advise that you learn fundamental things about nutrition for the athletes. You might want to start with the article by ADA:
http://www.dietandbody.com/article1222.html and follow the links. However, the best you can do is purchasing Tom Venuto's eBook at http://bestweight.burnthefat.hop.clickbank.net - it's a thorough and honest manual!

You might also take a look at a free Fat Burning Index diet plan at bantadiet.com

Hope it helps.
