This Woman Cut Her Workouts By 50 Minutes—And Lost 9 Pounds In 30 Days

When you're juggling 60-hour workweeks and two young kids like Melissa Ferraro, previous priorities have a tendency of going straight to the bottom of your to-do list. Her responsibilities as an attorney, mom, and wife had been outshouting her need to exercise for the last year. "My schedule really limited my options. If I didn't wake up at 4:40 AM to get to the gym, it wasn't going to happen. I just didn't have that hour anywhere else in my day." And when Ferraro did manage to schlep to the gym that early, she felt it. "By the afternoon I was sluggish and craving caffeine because I wasn't sleeping enough. I eventually stopped going because it was such a hard schedule to sustain, especially with a family."

What Ferraro didn't realize, however, was that she didn't actually need to work out for 30 to 60 minutes at a time to see results. "I was stuck in that mindset that it's not a workout if you're not doing at least 30 minutes," says Ferraro. "But when I tried the Fit in 10: 30-Day Belly Fix, I realized that you can see more results in just 10 minutes a day."

Ferraro tried the Fit in 10: 30-Day Belly Fix program after seeing a callout for testers on Facebook. "My weight was affecting me on a daily basis and I didn't feel good about myself or my body," she says. "I thought, 'If I could achieve my goals in only 10 minutes a day, then I could work out whenever I wanted and still have more time for my family—and to sleep!" she laughs. "So I figured it was worth trying."

Mornings were still usually her best time, but now that she was only exercising for 10 minutes at home, she got to sleep an extra 50 minutes. She'd do the workouts in her PJs before she hopped in the shower, and on those super busy mornings—or on days she wanted to hit snooze one more time—she easily found a way to squeeze in those 10 minutes sometime before she climbed into bed. "The first workout I tried was tough and had me sweating, and by the next day my body felt like I had worked out for an hour—only I hadn't," she says. (Here are 15 more teeny tiny changes that can help you lose weight.)

At the end of 30 days, Ferraro had dropped 9 pounds, increased her energy, and gained extra time to be with her family. "I'm shocked by my results, I feel more toned and physically fit, which gives me more confidence in myself," she says. "Before the program, I had a couple dresses that were too tight and really made me feel self-conscious about my belly. Now, not only can I wear those dresses, I'm able to wear anything in my closet. And I feel absolutely amazing."
