How People Accumulate Belly Fat

How People Accumulate Belly Fat

In the past centuries, the activities of both men and women were very physically demanding. Walking is very much part of the daily routine. Even horseback riding is also a form of exercise, since it builds your strength and cardiovascular health. Men would usually hunt for food, chop firewood, till the land, and defend their community. Women on the other hand, made sure everything in their homes was put into order. And things inside the house were pretty much managed manually. You can almost imaging how many calories were burnt in their bodies and how physically tired they were at the end of the day. This kind of living always ensured the coming together of families for the evening meal.

Things have totally changed now. Men and women today have less physical activities. The main work concept becomes working in the offices and sitting all day behind the desk doing paper works. And when the day is over, people would just simply go to the parking lot, get their car, and drive home for supper. A lot of foods today are processed, although very delicious, many food recipes contain unhealthy components. Because of lack of exercise and abundance of junk food, it is now very easy to accumulate excess fat and become obese.

When the body starts to store excess fat, the most affected area is the belly. It is where the fats become most dangerous to the health. The excess visceral and subcutaneous fats in the abdominal area are known to generate

  • heart disease
  • high blood pressure
  • high cholesterol in the blood
  • type 2 diabetes
  • sleep apnea
  • stroke
  • cancer
  • respiratory problems
  • depression
  • poor complexion
  • decreased sexual interest
  • difficulty in breathing

The main reasons why people end up having excess fat are living a lifestyle of unhealthy eating and almost deprived of weight loss exercises.

There are many fitness gyms now than before and some are even free but many people have no time to exercise. This may be caused by the fast lifestyle where people sometimes work two or more jobs in order to sustain their family or themselves. But if your work only requires much thinking and less physical activity, a 30-minute exercise at the end of the day would be a good stress-reliever. It is also vital to eat foods that burn fat.

Eating unwisely would result to obesity. The real problem of obesity is, despite the fact that people already know the health dangers of it, they are somewhat timid to start a fitness program believing that they have to work out hard for a long time before getting a leaner body. But the fact is that fitness programs have advanced already and have discovered faster ways to lose weight. But there is no quick fix to obesity – not now and in the future. You have to slowly turn away from unhealthy eating habits to following a healthy lifestyle. And today would be a good start to do it. Would you agree?
