1. Eat when you feel hungry. Not out of boredom, comfort or emotion. You need to listen to what your body is telling you as this will help you lose weight. You don’t need to stick to a 3 meals a day routine. Just listen to what your body is telling you. Sometimes when you think you feel hungry, go and have a glass of water as you might just be thirsty, if you still feel hungry then eat.

2. Stop when you start to feel full. You don’t want to over eat because your body just stores it as fat. There are no rules when it comes to leaving something on your plate. The ‘clean plate rule’ doesn’t exist.

3. Eat what you feel like eating, not what you feel you should eat. If you feel like eating pizza and chocolate then do so because your body is telling you that you lack something that you get from those foods.

4. Exercise. Exercising helps a lot when you want to lose weight. It’s good for your heart and body. Start off with something easy such as skipping or walking. Do 30 minutes of whatever you like as long as it gets your heart rate up every day. There are many activities you can do.

5. One of the important ones is to drink lots of water. Dehydration can easily be mistaken for hunger. You should be drinking at least 8 glasses a day.
