Vitamin E Oil

Question
If I wanted to purchase Vitamin E. oil for topical skin care, how would I make sure I get a quality oil? And who is a good retailer for it? I tried the local nutrition store and they said there has been a shortage of it for like 3 months or something like that.

Answer
I usually get mine from Vitamin Shoppe. In the past, when oil was not available, I have purchased gel caps and opened them to use. I do not ever recommend putting the oil on an unhealed wound such as one that has required stitches. Because you cannot be completely sure of the purity, you have to be cautious about deep would infection. I have not found any way to be guaranteed purity except to believe what the package says. I have yet to find an oil product that has third party testing of reliability from a quality lab.
