QuestionI have just purchased the Slimkids program for my daughter. I am curious as to whether there are any "free foods" that she can eat if she gets to feeling hungry that is not listed within the menu plans. She typically eats large portions of food and I'm worried that the meal plans will not satisfy her and she will binge eat.
AnswerDear Cass,
Free foods would be low cal or calorie free foods like sugar free jello, pickles and cut up vegetables with low fat dip. Kids tend to eat when they watch TV, play video games, use the computer and when they are just generally bored. Change those habits, and you will change their snacking eating habits. Once the sugar and excessive carbohydrate intake has been curbed, usually a week or two on the program, the food cravings will subside. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com
