Protein shakes and Creatine

Question
I'm 44, in very good shape except for a little tire 'round the stomach... Beginning last Monday (2 days ago), I began adding some protein and creatine shakes to my daily diet. Ideally, I want to maintain my weight (5'7" - 185 lbs - already stocky) while developing my muscular mass. One thing I noticed already is the extra energy these supplements provide... never felt better and more energized since my twenties... I train moderately (medium impact) 3 or 4 times per week with weights and cardio. I also have a Weider 'all-in-one' machine that I use.

The question is : are those supplements dangerous for an old horse like me, even with a clean bill of health?

Answer
Remi-

No not dangerous at all and actually very wise choice. Protein is just food that's it plain and simple very convenient high protein food.

Creatine I suggest all my clients take it and not so much for the muscular/performance benefit but now for the many studies coming out showing its aid in cognitive function, helping top combat and prevent Alzheimer, for added bone density, etc. Just know that the scale weight will rise in time as you get properly saturated with it sue to intramuscular hydration. Which is a GOOD thing. Just make sure you stay hydrated drink enough like you should anyway.
