drinking milk, fruit juice and eating times

Question
what time is best to drink a cup of milk and fruit juice separately(besides during breakfast)? Is it better after my main meals of before? what period of the day is best to consume most of my food(to increase metabolism)? after what time should i not eat? What time should i take a snack like cheese and biscuits/crackers? i have my 3 main meals at 8am, 12pm and 6pm.

Answer
Dear K.
To keep your metabolism at peak, eat 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day and exercise at least 30 minutes per day. A drink of milk can be one of those small meals. I'm not a fan of juice because it contains double the calories and double carbs then if you ate the whole fruit. If you stop eating before 8pm, then your body will basically fast for the next 12 hours. Some people swear by this for weight control, I personally like a cup of milk before I go to bed. I sleep better, and I'm not hungry. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.comn
