Rolled oats and fibre

Question
Hi George,
I've been trying to improve my diet lately. I've been having rolled oats with raisins for breakfast, reasoning that the fibre would be good for me and it keeps me feeling full right up to lunchtime.
However it hasn't had quite the effect I thought it would have... It seems to be having the opposite effect that fibre should have. It's not causing full blown constipation but it's definately causing heavy firm stools.
Have I chosen the wrong breakfast?? Is there anything I can do to improve the situation??
THanks,
Roy

Answer
Hello Roy!

It sounds like you are on the right track to healthy eating.Remember that we need at least 5 fresh fruits and vegetables in our diet daily. So I would recommend that you add  a whole food nutrition supplement called Juice Plus. It is made from 17 different fruits and vegetables in capsule or chewable form. It can be purchased at www.juiceblend.com and would make a perfect edition to your new healthy eating plan.
