My bad Diet

Question
Hi Evelyn,

I am hoping you can help me. I am 25 years old and a mother of a 1 year old. Since I was about 5 I have not eaten fruits or vegetables. It's really bothering me I am about 70 pounds over weight. (most of it came when I had my son). I want to be healthy but every time I try to eat them I physically gag or get sick. I do take vitamins and I eat a lot of fiber cereals, I drink apple juice and Orange juice. I eat all meats potatoes, corn and Spaghetti sauce. But not much more that that. I have tried hiding fruits and vegetables in food. I just gag and get really embarrassed. I've tried make fruit smoothies to and it does not work.

Is there something wrong with me? Is there some how I can over come this? I am always craving the worst food. Ive even tried cutting out sugar but I still cant loose weight (I work out no problem I know its my diet)

Please help!

Thanks

Melissa

Answer
Dear Melissa,

I would love to help you look into your issue. But I think we need a bit more info shared between us. I take a holistic approach which looks at the whole you (including your baby).

Your diet is not entirely terrible, but you have a problem.
The overweight is worrying, of course. But that just manifests something underlying.

If your diet was bad since childhood, this means the issues are really old. I think in terms of karma, aswell. This is another way of saying: you have focal points in your current life = or things you need to get right with.

It is not natural for a child to not eat fruits, and after some encouragement from adults most vegetables prove quite palatable (tasty and not poisonous: realise a lot of vegetables have a bitter taste and this means poison to babies). What you like as a child depends on three things:
- It so much depends on how you prepare foods
- The quality of the food is essential. Organic foods taste sweet and sunny. Frozen foods taste dead. Canned foods taste canned.
- How you eat food. Meal times have to be made special. Sacred even (with a blessing or some kind of appreciation for the sacrifice of the living being, be it animal or plant).

So you have to figure out why you are not "natural". Do you have allergies? Do you have trauma? Do you have a corrupted palate (that is, you are only USED to processed sugary/salty, unnatural flavours)?

The overweight, especially if it bothers you,  relates to you not being comfortable in your current life. This could be very old, and at the same time something very small. If it is large then this also depends on perspective (planets come in various sizes but they are all bigger than Mt. Everest!).

What I would like to do for you is look at where the problem really lies. What makes you gag about lettuce or cucumber? Why can you not have a broth made of carrots and onions with some slithers of egg or a few peas?

The fact that you do not like smoothies even (a simple food for most people and a real treat) tells me that your problem goes really deep. And would relate to an intolerance of vibrancy. This is another word for life-force.

Fruit and veg are packed with solar bound energy. This means Sun Force which has been captured by Earth Power. That is pretty darn special. No other planet in our galaxy can do that!!

I think you may have a fundamental problem with Life on Earth.  You would rather get your angel wings back! But that is not going to make your baby healthy and happy.  She/He incarnated to have a real life experience, food and all! Not canned, processed, plastic factory stuff designed by men made for men, cooked by women...... You know what I mean. The real woman in you knows there is a healthier way, and that is why you reached out with your pro-active question.

The bad news is: I think there is something wrong with you.
The good news is: there is something wrong with every living being and you are one of the few to recognise it!!

It may be an inconvenience that you have to deal with your spiritual self-realisation on such a day-to-day level, as food so requires you to, but it is also a blessing: you get a new chance to work on self-improvement on a daily level.

Maybe, a way in for you is through your infant. What is she/he eating?  Have you given her/him the best start in life? Maybe, you can prevent her/him going down the same path as yourself.

I would love to know about her/his diet, and how you incorporate your own around hers/his. Because, you must surely know, a child models themselves on their parents' behaviour.

If you are really serious about changing your taste (which is a point of contact for earth experience) and choosing different foods which will enhance your health, you will need to suffer a bit. But your baby may be able to help you! Sometimes we have children who teach us more than we can teach them. I speak from experience.

If you can relate to my approach to how what we eat shows us something about who we are meant to be (in the future!), then I am happy to work with you a little more.

I Look forward to hearing from you again. Since follow up questions do not always allow me to give you the necessary information (links, tables, diagrams, or pictures) or enable quick and short back and forwards, I would like to give you my private email as an alternative option of getting into contact with me. Please put under subject something indicating that you are an about questioner - [email protected].

My warmest and best wishes to you for now,
Evelyn.
