Is Fiber Needed on Raw Paleo Diet?

Question
Hi,

I know that a raw paleo diet consisting of organ and muscle meat can provide all the vitamins and minerals we need but I was stumped (not to mention I felt stupid) when someone asked me where I would get my fiber from such a diet.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but does one even need fiber on a raw paleo diet or any diet for that matter?

Answer
You don't need fibre on a raw diet -  raw meat(especially most raw organ-meats), has such high water-content, that fibre's not necessary. However, a cooked-food diet would greatly benefit from a lot of fibre, to keep things moving along and prevent blockages.

If you do encounter any problems in that area, you could always include some raw carbs in the diet etc.
