Atkins diet: cheating and getting back on induction phase

Question
I started the Atkins diet about 8 days ago.  It feels like it is going well.  I am in the induction phase.  Will it slow my weight loss if I drink Sleepy Time Tea at night.  The tea is decaf(so it meets the specifications although I just want to check).  Secondly, would it really ruin things if I took one day off after the first fourteen days and have just a cheat day of whatever I want?  I would then do the induction phase again.  Let me know-Thanks

Answer
Dear Becky,

Easy thing first: since the Sleepy Time Tea is caffeine-free, it should not interfere with your induction phase success.

CHEAING

I would not try to cheat on Atkins induction phase unless I decide to stop it, then to start from the very beginning. However, keep it in your mind that every next time, it'll be easier to get into ketosis due to the process of adaptation, which is a good news but also a bad news: along with getting easier on your body, it's getting less efficient.

It the desire to cheat is overwhelming, why wouldn't you try the Carbohydrate Addict Diet designed for the cases exactly like this one?

Another thing is, you can better manage your desire to cheat and cravings by increasing your fat intake and decreasing protein intake. Why it works, you might want to read here:
