Starvation mode

Question
I am doing weight watchers points and was losing 2-3# a week. I started taking rialin for ADD and my appetie is so suppressed that I don't eat all day. My daily intake is 3-bean salad and a chicken breast. OR 3 egg whites and 3 bean salad. I am NOT hungry at all. I am fluctuating between 193 and 201 now. I have been for several weeks. Am I in starvation mode and should I force myself to eat even though I AM NOT HUNGRY? Please help me.

Answer
Hello Angela,

Ritalin was initially developed to minimize the side effects of appetite suppression and insomnia that were due to intake of older ADD medications. However, it failed to be completely free of the side effects.

From your daily menu description, it's clear that your metabolism suffers from unsufficient fule supply and your body generally lacking many needed nutrients. One way to improve the situation is to start burning more calories by exercising. research showed that eating more and exercising more leads to improved metabolism, weight loss, muscle building, and better general health.

In  your case, exercising for about one hour, most of the days, can work for your appetite but also for ADD as well.
