flaxseed oil tablets

Question
What are some of the major benefits of consuming flaxseed oil tablets?  I thank you for your help.

Answer
Flaxseed oil contains omega-3 fatty acids that recently been shown to be able to reduce the risk of heart disease and high blood pressure, and bring some relief to depression sufferers.

However, most of the studies investigated a different source of omega-3, fish oil, and there are opinions that not all omega-3 are created equal.

Omega-3 fatty acids are always used in plural and for a good reason: they are mixtures of fatty acids and it would be correct to call them omega-3 groups of fatty acids.

1) Omega-3 in fish oil consists of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

2) Omega-3 in flaxseed oil composed mostly of alpha-linolenic acid from which DHA and EP can derived.

3) EPA can derive from alpha-linolenic acid faster than  DHA can so at any given time, we have different fatty acid composition if we compare fish oil (with it proved benefits for health) with flaxseed oil.

Hope it helps
