If you enjoy a plate of pasta or it is your favourite comfort food, you do not have to abandon consuming it completely. Just be a little cleverer as to the proportions of pasta and other ingredients you combine in your meal.

Eat more vegetables

You can reduce the amount of pasta you eat and fill up with vegetables instead. Go easy on yourself and allow yourself to select your favourite vegetables, whether it is mushrooms, cauliflower, green peppers etc.

Try to add a variety of vegetables, and include different colours and textures. This will help make your meal more appetising and provide your body with many different nutrients.

An alternate to pasta

If you would like to try something slightly different, replace your pasta with brown rice. Not only is it delicious, but it is also healthier than white rice.
