QuestionHi
My husband is 48.
He is very active, takes walks and bikes daily, and is carefull what he eats.
His waist size however keeps increasing.
The rest of him looks OK.
I have seen a few other men like this, including his brother.
Is it a common condition of aging in males,or is something wrong?
AnswerHey, Susan. Surely, part of the problem is that as people age, their metabolism slows down and makes it harder to maintain healthy weight or lose extra weight. This, of course, shouldn't be an excuse fo gaining a lot of weight. It's also possible that there is some physical / hormonal disbalance that interferes with proper metabolism of your husband's body. Therefore, I suggest that you seek medical advice and makes sure that his hormones and glands that produce them are in right order.
Thanks, and I hope this helps. If not, please follow up.
