good food?

Question
hello my job requires me to be in a truck 12 hours a day,on rotating shifts. i usually dont take a lunch and i know that is bad not to eat,i've noticed weight gain and would like to know what kind of food can i eat that will help boost my energy and is a healthy choice and what can i drink besides water?

Answer
Hi Tim,

No Body ever got too fat from eating too much raw fruit. Raw nuts are great snacks. Raw or slightly cooked non-starchy vegetables are great, all you want. For green salads, iceberg lettuce tends to be tasteless, so go for the more colorful, greenier greens.

BIG DEAL:
Eat meat, eat potatoes, but not at the same time. Sandwiches are handy, but eating protein and starches at the same time makes people sleepy. Proteins are digested by acids, carbs by alkalis, and the two battle each other more than break down your food. Let those 2 food groups take turns and you avoid fatigue, heartburn and a lot of wear and tear. Give 3 hours between the steak and the baked potato, and so on.
