Building lean body mass

Question
I'm a fairly active male (go to gym 5-6 times a week) in his early 30's and I'm interested in building more lean muscle.  However I am about 10-15 lbs. overweight now.  Should I be consuming soy or whey protein when supplementing my meals?  I appreciate your help.

Answer
Augusto,

The art and science of building muscle while losing fat is far too complex to squeeze it into one answer. I'd need to know your height, body fat percent, resting metabolic level, exercise type(s) and intensities, body fat distribution (middle, upper, or lower body) to name only major details.

However, I can suggest two reliable sources of information or, rather education and instruction, for you.

One is a paid manual by renown natural bodybuilder Tom Venuto:

Another is a free online diet and exercise program based on the fat burning index: http://bantadiet.com

If after you look at them and have further questions, feel free contacting me again.
