Diet and binges

Question
I am a 26 years old girl, I am 5.45ft tall and weigh  156lb. I have been struggling for months trying to lose weight, but have not had much success. At the moment I'm eating around 1000-1200cals/day and exercising regularly (gym 3/week+1 hour/day walk),yet I'm not loosing weight (lost 1 pound in a month)...At the same time I have I big problem. I binge...It only happens 2-3 times/month (not often enough to be classified as a disorder, but it IS a problem), but in those days I manage to eat something up to 6000cals in a couple of hours. I've tried purging but it doesn't work, and the only thing I can do afterwards is reduce cal intake and exercise more. I have 2 questions...1) If I eat, say, 1000 cals more than usual, and then exercise enough to burn (according to usual calculators) 1000cals, is it sufficient not to gain weight (i.e. is it the same as not having eating the extra food)? 2) What can I do to avoid binges? They usually start with carbs, and I've been avoid having any at home (I only buy single-servings, so that my carb intake is ok but I have nothing to binge on), but is there anything more "lasting"? thanks!

Answer
Haven't you gotten tired of all these numbers yet? Of the constant trying and little accomplishment?

If, 6 months ago, you were not counting, or calculating - just eating, enjoying and not giving yourself any reason to binge - you could very well be 35 or more lbs lighter right now, never concerned about a diet and enjoying whatever it is you LIKE.

No more diets. No more products. No more plans, memberships or pills. Nothing more complicated than eating at least three times a day and having what you want.
